1. Education, not investment advice
Lessons, examples, quizzes, diagrams, calculators, the study helper and journal are provided for general education and practice. They do not consider your financial circumstances, objectives, experience, risk tolerance or suitability. They are not personalised investment advice, a research report, a recommendation, a price target, a trading signal, or a solicitation to transact.
Examples using prices, quantities, indicators or hypothetical companies are illustrative. They may simplify real market mechanics and may omit factors relevant to a real decision. Do your own independent research and consider seeking advice from an appropriately registered professional where required. Check registration directly on the official SEBI website.
2. Paper-trading simulator and data
The simulator uses fictional demo instruments and randomly generated prices/candles. It does not display live exchange prices or authentic historical market data. All balances, orders, positions, profits and losses are virtual; no real order is routed and no money or securities change hands. Results are not evidence of likely real-world performance.
The simulator does not fully model brokerage, taxes, exchange fees, slippage, liquidity, market impact, order queues, halts, gaps or other execution conditions. Its charts, returns and journal metrics can differ materially from real trading. Past or simulated performance does not predict future results.
3. Risk and no guarantees
Trading and investing involve risk of loss. Derivatives, leverage and frequent trading can increase that risk. Stop orders do not guarantee a specific execution price, and a limit order may not execute. No strategy, indicator, lesson or tool guarantees profits or prevents losses. Calculator outputs depend on the assumptions entered and are estimates, not recommendations or promises.
4. Study helper limitations
The study helper retrieves explanations from the site's lessons. It is not a human expert and may return incomplete, outdated, or contextually unsuitable information. Do not use it to obtain personalised security recommendations, price targets, or instructions for a live trade. Verify important facts against authoritative sources.
5. External sites and third-party services
Links to external websites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement. TradeGurukul does not control external content, security, privacy practices or availability. The site loads fonts and icon assets from third-party providers; those providers may receive technical connection information such as your IP address and browser details when your browser requests those assets.
6. Privacy and local storage
In the current static-site version, learning progress, saved lessons, language preference, paper-trading account activity and the locally saved trading-plan form may be stored in your browser's local storage. These items are intended to remain on that browser/device; the current version does not provide user accounts or cloud synchronisation for them. Anyone with access to your browser profile or device may be able to view or clear that locally stored information.
You can clear site data through your browser settings, but doing so may erase saved progress and practice records. TradeGurukul's third-party font and icon requests are subject to those providers' own privacy terms. This notice should be reviewed and updated if analytics, advertising, account creation, forms, cookies, payments, email capture or other data collection are added.
7. Accuracy, changes and responsibility
Content is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We try to make lessons clear and useful, but do not warrant that every item is complete, current, error-free or suitable for your circumstances. Regulations and market practices can change. You are responsible for decisions made using information from this site, subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Regulatory status and contact
TradeGurukul is presented as an educational website, not as a SEBI-registered intermediary. These disclosures do not determine whether any particular activity requires registration; the substance of actual content, services, compensation, promotions and user interactions matters. Do not add paid stock calls, personalised recommendations, research reports, portfolio services, broker referrals or performance-based promotions without a specific legal review.
